About us
We manage property the way we would want ours managed.
Motiva was founded in 2007 by owners who had been let down by their own property managers — vague statements, slow maintenance, and rent projections that never held up. We built the alternative.

Our story
Started by owners, for owners.
The founders of Motiva originally employed 3rd-party property management. However, after struggling to find trustworthy, transparent, and reliable managers, they brought their portfolio in-house to manage.
Today, we manage all our clients' investments with the same standard we were looking for when we first started.
What We Stand For
Our Three Guiding Principles
Being Honest
We believe in being honest to our clients and our residents. That means quoting the rent the market will actually pay, showing performance as is, and delivering bad news as early as the good.
Showing Up
We take our management responsibility very seriously. Calls get answered, issues get owned, and when something needs eyes on it, someone is there immediately. Nothing is forgotten and nothing is left to drag on.
Acting with Empathy
Every decision affects someone's investment or someone's home. That weight sits behind every call we make. We listen before we decide, explain our reasoning, treat owners and residents as our own, and handle everything with care.
The team
Who you will actually be working with.
Every owner is assigned a named account manager. You will have their direct line.
Zihao Wang
CEO
Sets strategy and owner relationships, and holds the standard the rest of the company manages to. Reviews portfolio performance with owners directly.
Mandy Wang
COO
Runs day-to-day operations — maintenance coordination, vendor management, and the inspection program that keeps small issues from becoming large ones.
Joyce Goldstein
Designated Broker
Holds the brokerage license and oversees leasing compliance, trust accounting, and every agreement we put in front of an owner or resident.
Michael Zhang
Property Manager
Named account manager for owners across the portfolio. Handles leasing, renewals, resident communication, and the monthly owner reporting.
Lorenzo Garcia
Assistant Property Manager
First response on maintenance requests and showings. Coordinates turns, schedules vendors, and keeps unit files and inspections current.
Frank Zhang
Accountant
Handles trust accounting, owner distributions, and month-end close. Reconciles every account before statements go out.
